People In Progress’ Multi Service Center (MSC) provides outpatient services in Central City Los Angeles offering individualized case management for drug and alcohol addiction and is a provider of court mandated Parenting, Domestic Violence, Anger Management, Substance Abuse, Domestic Violence Victim education classes.

We strive to educate participants about community resources and help them learn how to access resources to increase wages, and gain access to other economic resources. participants are encouraged to use available computers and are given access to telephones for city resources including 311 and 211. 

Through a well developed network of organizations we are able to provide referals for medical, housing, dental, mental health, legal and employment services. 

Assessing the needs of the homeless community, the New Elements Community Treatment program is funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to work with the chronic homeless population who suffer from co-occurring disorders.The program is able to identify individuals and the needs of those individuals who have mental health disorders and substance abuse coupled with his or her chronic homeless status.

Youth attend People In Progress' after school program which serves youth participants ages 5-17. The program currently provides family resource referrals, benefits screening, parenting classes, tutoring, computer literacy, recreational activities, cultural activities, field trips, daily lunch and providing back to school supplies.
